"GC2" and "GC3" are Battle Born's "Game Changer" generation names for the 100Ah and 270Ah deep-cycle packs respectively. The GC3 is not a separate capacity from the 270Ah; it is the 270Ah. Heated variants (BB10012H, BBGC3H) add internal self-heating for sub-freezing charging; Smart variants add Bluetooth monitoring.

Notes on the Numbers
Cost per cycle is linear across capacities. The GC3's ~$0.62 per cycle looks higher than the 100Ah's ~$0.23, but the GC3 holds 2.7× the energy, per 100Ah of capacity, both work out to roughly $0.23 per cycle. Battle Born prices essentially linearly per amp-hour; the GC3 buys you capacity density, not a per-cycle discount.
Cycle life vs. depth of discharge. Battle Born rates both lines at 3,000–5,000 cycles to 80% DoD. Like all LiFePO4, shallower cycling (50% DoD) materially extends service life; there's no published 50%-DoD cycle count, but it runs well past the 80%-DoD figure.
Warranty. Battle Born advertises a 10-year full-replacement warranty on both lines, a key differentiator against prorated 5-year warranties on competing brands. Confirm exact current terms and claim requirements on battlebornbatteries.com before purchase.
Cold weather. Both batteries discharge down to -4°F, but neither the standard 100Ah nor the GC3 will charge below freezing, the BMS blocks charging near 25°F to protect the cells. For sub-freezing charging, buy the Heated variant (BB10012H or BBGC3H), which self-heats before accepting charge.
Certifications. The 100Ah carries UL 1973 (whole-pack listing) plus UL 1642 cell certification and UN38.3 transport certification. The GC3's published pack-level listings are UL 1642 (cells) and UL 62133-2 (cells) with UN38.3 transport, note the GC3 does not currently list UL 1973 whole-pack certification in its published materials, unlike the 100Ah.
